BOSTON — Folk-rock band CAAMP delivered an unforgettable performance at MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park on June 15, 2025, captivating a packed audience during their second of two weekend shows. The newly opened venue, which debuted in 2022, impressed with its sleek design and friendly staff, enhancing the concert experience. Located near Fenway Park, the hall’s exterior, framed by the iconic green Boston Red Sox sign, set a classic Boston tone. Inside, the general admission floor buzzed with energy, while the two tiers of seating offered excellent views.

The evening began with opener Whitney, a six-piece band whose warm, mellow folk sound featured trumpet, keys, guitar, and frontman Julien Ehrlich’s vocals from behind the drum kit. Their slow-paced set, highlighted by songs like “No Woman” and “Golden Days,” won over new fans with its rich layers and standout lighting design, which added a cozy atmosphere.

Caamp took the stage 20 minutes early, launching into a seamless blend of introspective folk and upbeat rock. The five-piece band, led by frontman Taylor Meier and featuring stand-up bass, banjo, and keys, kept chatter minimal, letting their music flow effortlessly. Fans of all ages danced and sang along, creating a joyful, communal vibe fueled by the band’s “granola” energy and the lively crowd. Caamp sported Red Sox caps and a foam finger, nodding to their Fenway experience the previous night. Their set, spanning covers, unreleased tracks, and fan favorites, evoked road trips and campfires, maintaining high spirits throughout.

From Whitney’s atmospheric opener to CAAMP's vibrant headlining set, the night was a masterclass in folk-rock. CAAMP's tour continues intermittently through September with various openers. For a soulful, curated folk experience, Caamp is a must-see.
