OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha's CHI Health Center erupted Monday night as classic rock legends Foreigner, Styx and John Waite delivered an electrifying performance on their Renegades & Juke Box Heroes Tour. The multi-generational crowd witnessed a spectacular rock concert featuring elaborate stage production with lasers, pyrotechnics, fog effects and theatrical props.

John Waite Opens Strong at CHI Health Center Omaha

British rock veteran John Waite opened the evening with a powerful set showcasing his four-decade career. The 71-year-old singer-songwriter, known for his work with The Babys, Bad English and his solo career, proved his enduring vocal prowess.

Waite's performance included crowd favorites "Change" and his 1984 No. 1 hit "Missing You," along with a commanding cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." The Omaha audience sang along enthusiastically as Waite demonstrated why he remains a respected figure in classic rock circles.

The Lancaster, England native has sold millions of records across his various projects and continues touring extensively throughout North America.

Styx Delivers Career-Spanning Set in Omaha

Chicago rock legends Styx followed with a masterful performance spanning their 52-year career. The band, which has sold more than 54 million albums worldwide, seamlessly blended progressive rock complexity with arena rock accessibility.

Founding member Tommy Shaw and the current lineup delivered classics including "The Grand Illusion" and "Come Sail Away" alongside newer material like "Crash of the Crown" from their 2021 album. The theatrical presentation included elaborate lighting and staging that complemented Styx's reputation for innovative live performances.

Formed in 1972 in Chicago, Styx has weathered numerous lineup changes while maintaining their distinctive sound that helped define arena rock in the 1970s and 1980s.

Foreigner Caps Night with Farewell Tour Performance

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Foreigner headlined the evening, performing hits from their 47-year career. The British-American band, which has sold more than 80 million records globally, treated the Omaha crowd to an emotional farewell tour performance.

Lead vocalist Kelly Hansen, who joined Foreigner in 2005, delivered dynamic performances of signature songs including "Juke Box Hero," "Double Vision" and "Hot Blooded." During "Juke Box Hero," Hansen performed above the audience on a suspended platform, creating a memorable visual spectacle.

The band, co-founded by Mick Jones and original vocalist Lou Gramm in 1976, was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their current farewell tour represents a transition from extensive world touring to more selective performances rather than a complete retirement.
