Hearty Har Ignites the Stage with Psychedelic Rock Fusion

Hearty Har, a Los Angeles-based sextet fronted by brothers Shane and Tyler Fogerty, kicked off the evening with an electrifying performance. Formed in 2012, the band fuses psychedelic and garage rock, creating a nostalgic yet innovative sound. Joined by Jesse Wilson on bass, Richard Millsap on drums, Nick Stratton on guitar, and Douglas Lamothe on keys, Hearty Har delivered a dynamic set featuring songs like "Can't Keep Waiting," "Radio Man '56," "Somethin Ain't Right," and "Boogeyman."

Their performance, described as "controlled chaos," captivated the Pinnacle Bank Arena crowd with a mind-bending journey through rock's evolution. The band's stage presence, likened to a "neon lightning bolt," brought thunderous energy to Lincoln, setting the tone for an unforgettable night of live music.

George Thorogood and The Destroyers Celebrate 50 Years of Blues-Rock

George Thorogood and The Destroyers, marking their 50th anniversary with the "Bad All Over The World - 50 Years of Rock Tour," brought raw, unpolished blues-rock to Pinnacle Bank Arena. Since their 1973 debut at a college dance hall, Thorogood's snarling vintage Gibson guitar has channeled the spirits of Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, and Elmore James. With over 8,000 performances and 15 million albums sold, their catalog of reinvented classics and originals like "Bad to the Bone" remains a cornerstone of American rock.

The set opened with Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction," followed by a high-energy mix of originals and covers, including "Who Do You Love," "I Drink Alone," and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer." Thorogood paid homage to Johnny Cash with a cover and expressed admiration for John Fogerty. The crowd roared as the set closed with the iconic "Bad to the Bone." Thorogood ended with a heartfelt, "Thank you, ladies and gentlemen! God bless Nebraska!"

With more than 100 million records sold and hits like "Proud Mary," "Fortunate Son," and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," Fogerty's influence on rock, blues, and Americana is unparalleled. Fresh from reclaiming ownership of his songbook after a 50-year battle, Fogerty performed with renewed passion.

A pre-show video interview showcased Fogerty's journey, from writing his first song at age 8 to celebrating his reclaimed catalog. Joined by his sons Shane and Tyler, wife Julie, and band, Fogerty delivered a family-driven setlist of CCR classics like "Bad Moon Rising," "Born on the Bayou," and "Who'll Stop the Rain," alongside deeper cuts like "Fight Fire" from his pre-CCR band, The Golliwogs.
